How can I learn more about Tin City?
Watch the movie below or read more here: http://www.TinCityPasoRobles.com What is your favorite spot in Tin City? Want something fresh, healthy, clean but also delicious? Negranti Sheep's Milk Creamery creates a simple, luscious ice cream with sheep's milk! Sheep's milk means less reactions in lactose intolerant people. You'll notice the sweetness that sheep's milk provides with less sugar than cow's milk. Blended with fresh ingredients this makes Negranti Creamery ice cream a wholesome, rich, and rare treat. Sheep's milk tastes richer, and also has more vitamin A, B, and E, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium. I highly recommend! More about Tin City? What is Sensario? Sensario is an artistic light installation on HWY 46 right on the edge of Paso Robles. It's located about 5 minutes from the Allegretto and La Quinta resorts. Is there food at Sensario? While food and drinks are provided at Sensario, you'll receive larger portions of food for the money if you dine in the Paso Robles downtown area beforehand. When is Sensario open? In the month of September Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun nights: 7pm to 10:30pm October through November 5th Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun nights: 6pm to 10:30pm November through December 31st Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun they open at 5pm to 9pm I do highly recommend this for a fun, family friendly activity. All ages are welcome and Sensario is open almost every weekend of the year. Check their website to see what dates they'll be open during which months. http://www.sensoriopaso.com Note: If you're unable to book a date and time on the website, you can still show up in person and put yourself on the wait list. In most cases, you can get admission without waiting that long. Inquire with the ticket office upon arrival. (This can occur because people sometimes book dates that they don't attend.) Prices are currently $43 for adults and $22 for children. Sadly, there are no refunds. (I don't believe that pets can attend.) No. While the best case scenario is booking wineries ahead of time, our concierge can still find great vineyards for you to visit on short notice. It can be harder to book a wine tour or driver if you're approaching a really busy weekend though. This is especially true during a Festival or a really large (I'm looking at you Tobin James) wine club event.
Either way, we do have connections, so either book a date with us or contact us regarding your needs, and we'll take you to some amazing places that you'll love. Even if it's booked up on the calendar, we can add cars and drivers to your event if we are given ample notice. Hot sulfur springs still flow through Paso Robles and many people enjoy the natural springs. River Oaks Hot Springs Spa, and the Paso Robles Inn have indoor tubs. Franklin Hot Springs is an outdoor venue. River Oaks Hot Springs Spa offers an elevated artesian spa experience where you can enjoy natural mineral water soaks in a private and relaxing atmosphere. You can also get massages and facials there.
How much is wine tasting? Tour fees in Paso Robles vary from $75 - $150 per person, depending on the company. The tasting fees at each winery vary from $0 - $50 per person. The average cost of a Posh Pilot tour is $100 per person for the entire day. The cost depends completely upon your tasting priorities. Contact our Posh concierge to book the trip that fits your unique needs or budget. The cypher tasting Lounge has been relocated. Now located in Paso Robles' historical train station center, Cypher is a mere two blocks away from the busy Paso Robles downtown area. All tastings now include amuse-bouche. This is a food pairing for each varietal of wine. Enjoy your tasting inside this gorgeous 19th century building, or in the outside garden while you watch the trains go by. Sam has really decked out this historical building with beautiful turn of the century antiques. Ask her about them when you come in. The garden has a very welcoming ambiance with wild birds and lush foliage. I had a wonderful time with my guests sitting both inside and outside. Everything they offer with the wine is both delicious and fun. Since they get their grapes from all over the central coast, and exceed at making wine, they have some of the best blends in the area in my opinion. This means a higher percentage of my tour customers will join this wine club over others. We've also found their staff to be one of the most accommodating when we have clients with special requests. "Cypher evolved out of a love of great wine, food and bringing people together to enjoy them along with great conversation and fun." You can meet one of the owners, Sam on most weekend days. Let us know if you want to include Cypher in your tour. https://cypherwinery.com/experience-cypher/ Boyd's Cigar Shop . . . for the esteemed gentleman is an amazing shop and lounge for cigar smoking, gifts and camaraderie. Stepping foot into this lounge is like stepping back into a past where men were men, and it was alright to enjoy a cigar or two.
I fully support this business, and I hope you'll give it a try. There are more gifts, creations, and ideas in this shop than you can shake a stick at. Stop by today and give them a visit. Tell them Amy sent you. http://www.boydstobaccoandelegantgifts.com Le Cuvier isn't just a place to taste wine. It's an experience. On my first visit, I was impressed by the size of the crowd on just a regular weekday. My customers got settled into a cozy spot at the wine counter, and immediately remarked on the ambiance, light and design in the tasting room. The wine tasting was presented as a food pairing, running only $20 per person. Beside the wine counter was a large window displaying a chef hard at work in a gourmet kitchen. We found him making some kind of chocolate creation. The food pairing that day included a succulent tenderloin, and cream-filled raspberries. I remember for the first time in a long time actually feeling jealousy for my clients experience here. Some of the parings include gourmet concoctions like: Homemade Arancini, Curried Mushroom Cashew Pâté Balls Smoked Duck with Rhubarb Vinaigrette, Asian Style Beef Tenderloin with Soy Chili Sauce, Pork Tenderloin with Purple Potato Puree & Gremolata , Humboldt fog cheese, Strawberry Chutney with Seascape Cheddar, Every visit to Le Cuvier has been amazing, both for myself and the clients. This amazing chef in his commercial kitchen puts out a variety of fun, but tasty flavors that pair with their wine in unbelievable ways. I learned a plethora of information from the docent, but among that knowledge I give you the most pertinent: * Le Cuvier uses only dry farmed grapes. * Le Cuvier wine makers don't use oak. (There's an entire spiel that goes along with this, including how the grapes create their own unique flavors, and they don't deserve to have the oak make up for their "missing character". ) * They do use barrels, because barrel allow the water in the wine to evaporate through the skin in the barrel, but it's only neutral oak. * Wine is aged for 36 months, or more in each barrel. * Their wine grapes are primarily grown alone the hills in the Adelaide District. My favorite wine at Le Cuvier is the: Chrysos. It's a 75% Viognier, 25% Rousanne blend. I can't tell you what it is, but the Rosanne grapes just make this wine the most perfectly crisp, but also flavorful, fruit forward white blend. It's wonderful.
I also appreciate the Littoral. It's a blend with Petite Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sav, Merlot and Malbec. I think the Malbec gives it that earthly, grounded flavor. I just love the richness and the warm comfort of this wine. I am all about flavor, so this place was made for me. If you select to go here, please make sure to get their suggestions on pairings, and let me know your favorites! I love feedback. Thank you.
Calcareous Vineyard. Winery with a view. Nestled in the hills off Peachy Canyon Rd is the aptly named Calcareous Vineyards. Calcareous is not on the main highways, so going there takes some determination, but I have taken quite a few folks off the beaten path to astonishing places, such as this. Calcareous is named after the soil it's grapes are grown in. Calcareous soil is soil containing limestone, also known as calcium carbonate. The volcanic soils in the Paso Robles hills contain limestone and other minerals, which hold onto moisturizer. This keeps moisture close enough to the plants roots to make them struggle, and yet flourish. In 2000, a father-daughter team, Lloyd Messer and Dana Brown established Calcareous Vineyards on one of the highest limestone plateaus on Paso Robles west side. The focus is on Rhone and Bordeaux varietals. Grape vines that struggle create deeper, and more intricate root systems, which results in a more robust, and sometimes fruit forward grape. Since then, they've won dozen of awards for their rich, flavorful wines. They boast a large wine club, and are open daily. On Wednesdays in the summer (JUne - September) they also have pizza night. It usually goes to around 5 pm to 7:30 pm. For more information on Calcareous, visit them at: http://www.calcareous.com/ |
